Diagram Showing the Reabsorption of Glucose
SELECTIVE REABSORPTION OF GLUCOSE:

  • After the Glomerular Filtrate Enters the Bowman’s, All Glucose is Immediately Reabsorbed at the Proximal Convoluted Tubule by Active Transport
  • Nephron is Adapted by Having Mitochondria to Provide Energy for ATP for the Active Transport of Glucose Molecules
  • Nephron is also Adapted to this by having Thin Membranes so Distance of Active Transport is Short, Allowing the Efficient Rate of Active Transport
